This is one of the difficult treks in the area. Long walks on high altitude cold dessert terrain makes this trek most difficult.Proper acclimatization is necessary before you start the trek. You start walking from Kilan Sarair from Himachal Pradesh at almost 4500 meters and cross over 5450 meters high Phirtse La pass to enter into most remote Zanskar region of Ladakh. The trek ends with a visit to one of the ancient Buddhist monastery of Phugtal in Zanskar region of Ladakh.
