Day 01: Mcleod Ganj-Satobari-Kareri Village(1850m), 5 hours walk
After a short drive for 15 minutes from your hotel you reach Satobari Village, the starting point of the trek. From Satobari it is downhill walk for two hours to reach Ghera Village. Enroute you cross Barnet village. At Ghera we cross a small stream over an improvised bridge and continue our walk steep uphill for next three hours to reach Kareri village. Camp here next to Kareri village by the side of small stream. Overnight in tents.
Day 02: Kareri Village to Bahl Village (2000 M) 13 kms, 5 to 6 hours walk
Leave after breakfast. First two hours is a gradual walk with little up and downhill walk and we get to Rawa village, situated on the bank of Rawa river. We come across several tribal villges on the way. From Rawa it is steep ascent through the forest for about two hours to Bahl village. Camp near Bahl village.
Day 03: Bahl Village to Triund (2875 M) 10 km 5 hours walk
This day we leave all the villages behind and go up in the mountain where there is no human habitation. It is steep ascent through mixed forest of oak, rhododendron and cedar trees to Triund, an alpine meadow situated atop a ridge. Camp here for overnight stay. From Triund you have superb view of the snowclad Dhauladhar mountain on one side and the valley on the other
Day 04: Triund- Bhagsu Nag Village-Mcleod Ganj. 9 km, 4 hours walk
Leave after breakfast. It is downhill walk for 4 hours to Bhagsu Nag. We end up our trek near Bhagsu waterfall. Unpack your lunch near the waterfall. After lunch walk to the nearest road-head at Bhagsu Village. Stay in Bhagsu village or walk for another 15 minutes to reach Mcleod Ganj. Trek Ends. Check in your guest shouse or continue onward journey.
