The Himachal Pradesh state in northern India has the city of Dharamshala, which is renowned for its breathtaking scenery. In Dharamshala, there are many treks that lead through verdant woods, gushing rivers, and picturesque valleys. One of the most well-known of these treks is the Seven Lakes trek.
The trekking trail passes through the foothills of Himalayas and we come across several Gaddi Tribal villages entoure. Gaddi is a semi nomadic shephered tribe whose main accupation is rearing of sheep and goats. The trek ends with a visit to one of the ancient Buddhist monastery of Phugtal in Zanskar region of Ladakh.
